In recent years the academy's students have had success in securing a number of professional roles within the acting industry. Below are just a few of the students who have gone onto professional work within in the industry.

ROBYN MILNE

Throughout her time at Glasgow Acting Academy Robyn completed her NQ in Performing Arts, and has recently been accepted to study Musical Theatre at Drama College.

In August 2008 Robyn is set to become the face of the new Scottish government "HPV Immunisatin Campaign" and is also currently filming the role of "Hazel Moon" in the the new forthcoming CBBC production "Half Moon Investigations" to be aired in 2009.

JADE LEZAR

After joining the stage school and agency, Jade successfully audition for BBC Scotland's children's series "Stacey Stone", where she secured the role of "Yasmin".

Jade then went on to succesfully audition for the role of "Alanna" in BBC Scotland's "River City" where she played the role with a number of pivotal storylines for 3 years. After a short break from filming, Jade has recently been filming for a new comedy pilot set to be launched later in the year.

NATASHA WATSON

Aftre joing the stage school and agency, Natasha, successfully auditioned for a number of small roles before securing the role of Freya in BBC Scotland's hit soap "River City".

In 2008, Natsha has succesfully filmed a number of major projects including playing the roles of: Angelina in "Terra Firma" (Film); Bronwyn in "Rounding up Donkies"(Film); Simone in BBC's "Purves & Pekkla"(TV) and Alice in BBC's forthcoming network drama "Fiona's Story"(TV).

JAYD JOHNSON

After joining the Stage School and Agency, Jayd successfully auditioned for a network commercial for "America Online - (A.O.L)" where she was awarded the accolade of best actress in a TV commercial by the British Television Awards.

In 2004 Jayd then successfully auditioned for and continues to play the role of "Nicki" in BBC Scotland's hit soap "River City".

SEAN BROWN

After joining the stage school and agency, Sean successfully auditioned for professional acting roles in "The Flying Scotsman"(Film); "Dear Frankie" (Fim) and "Butterfingers"(TV). After these roles Sean then successfully auditioned for the role of "Paul" in BBC Scotland's hit soap "River City".

Sean can presently be seen as the unruly teenager in the hit soap, where he is instrumental in the storyline of the dysfunctional "Hunter" Family. Sean has been in the main cast of "River City" for the last 2 years.

LAURA McMONAGLE

After joining the stage school and agency, Laura was offered an audition for BBC Scotland's "River City" as a teenage rebel "Zoe". Laura has played the role of "Zoe" for the last 3 years.

Laura has now moved on to pastures new and we wish her all the best in her acting career.
